Course Details
This course covers radiation protection principles, occupational safety, and Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) responsibilities under the UAE Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) framework. Topics include ionizing radiation, radioactive sources, biological effects, ALARA, dose monitoring, workplace surveys, and radiation protection programs. Industrial applications cover radiography, nuclear gauges, NORM, source management, contamination control, regulatory compliance, radioactive waste, and safe transport. Participants also learn emergency response procedures through practical exercises and case studies. The course supports safe, compliant operations; formal FANR recognition or authorization must be verified separately.
